Women and Black people in leadership
With our support, Insper's Center for Racial Studies (Núcleo de Estudos Raciais do Insper – NERI) conducted a comprehensive review of existing literature to better understand the impact of diverse leadership on policy and governance in Brazil.
Key findings:
- The equal participation of women in leadership roles in both public and private sectors correlates with heightened investments in public services, such as health and education, and improved economic performance.
- The equal representation of Black individuals in leadership across public and private sectors is associated with the development of inclusive policies, enhanced political engagement, and beneficial impacts on education.
- Female public leaders are shown to reduce gender inequality in education among adolescents by up to 32%.
