Digital services that accelerate transformation

Estonia, renowned for hosting the annual e-Governance Conference, is a global leader in digital governance, with 99% of public services digitized. This northern European country exemplifies citizen-centric efficiency.

Guilherme Cintra, Director of Innovation and Technology at the Lemann Foundation, participated in the 2023 conference. Inspired by this event, a pilot project was initiated in the state of Goiás to train top public sector leaders, in collaboration with Insper, supporting the training of 40 secretaries and other leaders.

“Brazil has advanced in digital government, yet it still lags in infrastructure. Currently ranked 12th globally by the United Nations in digital services, Brazil drops to 49th place when infrastructure is considered. This reflects the ongoing challenge of ensuring internet access for the entire population. Transitioning to digitalization in Brazil necessitates a cultural shift among public servants, who must be educated to leverage the benefits of technology and innovation.”
