Improved English teaching in public schools

From 2021 to 2023, the Skills for Prosperity Program — a collaboration between the British Council, the Lemann Foundation, Instituto Reúna, and Nova Escola — focused on improving English teaching in public schools, specifically in the middle school h grades. This initiative aimed to boost employability, with a specific emphasis on supporting Black female teachers and students. Additionally, the program included the Meninas que vão além (Girls Who Go Above and Beyond) initiative, which provided Black girls in the 8th and 9th grades with resources to make informed decisions regarding their educational and career paths.
