Artificial intelligence facilitates educational assessments

In 2023, we embarked on a series of initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the Collaborative Literacy Program (PARC) fluency assessments. Within the Alliance for Literacy (Aliança pela Alfabetização) framework, we supported the formation of a group that utilized artificial intelligence (AI) to automate the correction of assessments, achieving a cost reduction of approximately 48%.

Additionally, we observed considerable advancements in the use of Herby - an AI-powered educational assessment system. Since its integration into our portfolio in 2021 and implementation through the Alliance for Literacy, Herby has supported test corrections in 70% of the participating municipalities and was fully utilized to evaluate the Carioca Math Olympics tests.
