People management policies in the public sector

In 2023, as part of the VAMOS – Transforming Leadership in the Public and Third Sectors partnership, we supported the expansion of the Fortalecer Program, developed by Motriz (a joint venture between Instituto Gesto and Vetor Brasil). The program extended its operations from six to 12 states and established new partnerships in six capital cities. It impacted over 33 departments of education and 2,300 leaders through strategic initiatives such as job mapping, leader pre-selection, and strategic planning. Notably, in states like Piauí and Pernambuco, the program extended across various sectors, including education, management, planning, and health.

“In various territories, the Fortalecer Program has executed crucial actions centered on racial or gender equity. Most of the supported territories have launched initiatives, predominantly in awareness-raising and literacy on these issues. In the More Leaders Program, we have enhanced diversity in the cohort based on insights gained from the first and included training content specifically focused on racial equity.”
